Residential Construction Project Manager

Progress Street Builders Residential Construction Project Manager Location: Lynchburg, VA Progress Street Builders is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the construction phase of residential projects. This person will coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, schedules, budgets, materials, site activity, client communication, and project documentation. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable working directly with homeowners, design professionals, subcontractors, and vendors. Our team builds thoughtfully designed custom homes with a focus on quality, collaboration, and a predictable building experience for every client. Key Responsibilities Coordinate with independent trade partners to efficiently manage our production schedule. Coordinating with suppliers and ordering construction materials as needed. Proactively maintain daily communication with independent contractors and suppliers. Verify, approve, and code invoices for completed work. Track and report on construction costs following the budget. Understand and ensure code compliance by all trade partners. Supervise onsite personnel and trade partners. Interface with inspectors, contractors, architects, city and county officials, and clients. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to the original plans and specifications. Ensure that all projects and purchasing/inventory functions are completed in alignment with specifications and quality requirements. Contribute towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational objectives. Qualifications Ability to read, understand, and explain construction blueprints, grading, and floor plans. Ability to self-perform material takeoffs as needed. Must have multi-disciplinary knowledge of residential construction materials and techniques. High level of service-minded professionalism with a wide range of clients. Minimum 5 years custom residential construction project management experience Must be well-organized and detail-oriented. Strong proven Management Qualities with a focus on deadlines and attention to detail. A willingness to travel to the construction site(s) daily. A willingness to work extended hours as necessary to meet production milestones. Maintain job safety and cleanliness. Compensation Full-Time.
