Job Summary This role will be a critical member of the Chief of Staff team supporting the Chief Operating Officer at Optimum. This is a dual‑role position that blends program management and operational execution with executive administrative support. This individual will serve as a trusted partner to the COO and Chief of Staff, ensuring seamless day‑to‑day operations while also driving forward key priorities, special projects, and ad hoc initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, and thrives in ambiguity – able to anticipate needs, solve problems independently, and operate with a high degree of judgment and discretion. Responsibilities Program Management & Operational Support Partner with the COO and Chief of Staff to support execution of key strategic initiatives and operational priorities. Support ad hoc initiatives and special projects as business priorities evolve. Track action items, commitments and deliverables from leadership meetings and forums to support follow‑through and accountability. Anticipate needs, proactively resolve issues and ensure leaders are prepared and positioned for success. Track and drive progress against key action items, proactively identifying risks and resolving blockers. Executive Support & Administration Manage complex, high‑volume calendar for the COO, including prioritization, conflict resolution, and alignment with strategic priorities. Coordinate domestic and international travel, including detailed itineraries and real‑time adjustments. Prepare and manage expense reports in a timely and accurate manner. Serve as a gatekeeper and facilitator for the COO's time, ensuring focus on highest‑impact activities. Support preparation for executive meetings, including agendas, materials, and follow‑ups. Build strong relationships across the organization to enable effective coordination and communication. Qualifications 2+ years of experience supporting senior executives (C‑suite or equivalent) within large, complex organizations. Proven ability to operate effectively in a dual capacity – balancing administrative excellence with strategic/programmatic responsibilities. Strong program management skills with experience leading cross‑functional initiatives. Highly organized, proactive, and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to navigate ambiguity and operate with minimal direction. Strong executive presence and judgment; comfortable interacting with leaders at all levels of the organization. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365. Preferred experience supporting operations, technology, network services or customer‑facing organizations.
