Key Responsibilities of the RN - Stepdown

• Titrate drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, & Lasix
• Interpret & chart patient rhythms with thorough assessment
• Collaborate with centralized telemetry for EKG monitoring
• Assist in the care of post-surgical thoracic & medicine patients
• Perform tasks compliant with acute care and unit-specific protocols

Requirements of the RN - Stepdown

• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong MedSurg Stepdown experience
• Ability to titrate drips and interpret patient rhythms
