About the Role
The Company is in search of a VP - Lawyer to join their legal team in the Netherlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a full range of legal support and advice on the services and activities carried out in the Netherlands. This includes directly managing and coordinating with various business and operations teams on legal, regulatory, and business issues and risks. The role also involves assistance with country management matters, such as corporate governance, and the drafting and negotiation of a wide range of contracts in both English and Dutch. The ideal candidate should have a Dutch law degree, with a minimum of 5-7 years of experience, and possess technical expertise in asset management, investment products, and Dutch corporate law. Applicants for the VP - Lawyer position at the company should be well-versed in relevant laws and regulations for fund management and asset management activities in the Netherlands, including supervisory laws for clients. A strong background in UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID, SFDR, and local sustainability-related regulatory developments is essential. The role requires a proactive and practical approach, the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive matters, and strong negotiation and presentation skills. The candidate should be a dynamic individual with a positive personality, capable of working in a fast-paced, business-oriented environment, and be adept at managing internal client relationships.
