Registered Respiratory Therapist - Full Time - Nights

Role and Responsibilities The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) performs therapeutic and diagnostic procedures such as ABG, PFTs, ventilator support, oxygen and aerosol therapy, bronchial hygiene, and airway maintenance. They assess and treat patients of all ages, including neonates and adults, under indirect supervision, ensuring compliance with departmental policies. Key duties include operating and troubleshooting cardiopulmonary equipment, interpreting diagnostic data, preparing treatment plans, and performing procedures like chest physiotherapy, CPR, and mechanical ventilation. They also participate in infection control, safety, and quality assurance activities, and maintain equipment and work areas. Qualifications and Skills Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS) certifications NRP and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within one year of hire Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in good standing Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care Minimum of six months respiratory care experience Additional Skills Proficiency in respiratory assessment, interpretation of CXR, ABG, and PFTs Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication and patient interaction skills Knowledge of infection control, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance #J-18808-Ljbffr Fairview Hospital / Cleveland Clinic
