Survey Technician

Survey TechnicianWestwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Technician to join our team. This position will assist Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey points.RequirementsAssisting Registered Professional Surveyors with CAD production, deed research, boundary analysis, easement preparation, legal description, and computing survey pointsProcessing of raw field data through Trimble Business Center and Civil 3DPerform QA/QC checksCoordinate and work with field crews and other office staffEnsures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the survey service.Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.Required Experience:Strong listening, writing and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of ALTA surveys, boundary analysis, topographic surveys, preparation of easement documents, legal descriptions, final plat preparation, construction stakingAbility to operate AutoCAD Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center for production activities.Ability to manage multiple tasks, support project coordination, and interact with other design services.Full use of Microsoft Office.Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment that is in a growth mode.Preferred ExperienceAn Associate Degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related area of studySIT CertificationLand Development, both Commercial and Residential, and Public Infrastructure ProjectsCoordinating activities with office personnel, including surveying technicians and engineering staffExperience searching for/recovering Public Land Survey System monumentsAbility to travel and remain on a project site or other Westwood office for extended periods (must have the capability of self-funding the total amount of expenses until reimbursement can be disbursed) Processing and drafting utilizing LiDAR point clouds and imageryTBC Scanning Module preferredMicroStation experience preferredAbility to utilize survey field equipment is preferred.FAA Part 107 UAS LicenseAbout Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
