Expected Schedule
This is a full-time role

• Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday: 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Some holidays will be required

Compensation

• $22-36/hr, based on experience and licensure
• up to $5,000 sign-on bonus, based on experience and licensure

Your Responsibilities

As a Surgical Veterinary Technician , you will collaborate closely with five board-certified surgeons , surgical residents, and interns. This position entails overseeing all facets of surgical nursing, from patient intake and diagnostics to anesthesia, surgical assistance, and post-operative recovery.
In this capacity, you will:

• Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
• Support various surgeries including soft tissue, orthopedic, laparoscopic, and neurosurgeries
• Prepare surgical patients and uphold sterile techniques in the operating room
• Conduct post-operative care , treatments, and documentation
• Work in tandem with DVMs, residents, and the surgical support team to deliver exceptional care
• Engage compassionately with clients, ensuring patients are treated with kindness, dignity, and professionalism
• Assist with departmental flow, scheduling, and the upkeep of equipment and surgical supplies

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) or Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) preferred
• Strong background in anesthesia and surgical procedures
• Veterinary Assistants with significant surgical experience may also be considered
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• A collaborative, team-oriented approach to patient care
• A passion for learning and contributing to a high-performing surgical team
