Law Enforcement Officer Duties
As a Law Enforcement Officer, GL-1801, your typical work assignments may include, but not limited to:
- Responding to and investigating criminal activities, such as assault, homicide, robbery, vandalism, illegal possession of drugs/firearms, public intoxication, traffic incidents, and other activities.
- Enforcing Federal and Tribal laws applicable to Indian Country
- Collaborating with other law enforcement agencies, including state, tribal, and other federal agencies, on cases and other law enforcement activities of mutual interest.
- Apprehending violators of Federal, Tribal and/or State criminal laws
- Applying for and executing search and arrest warrants
- Testifying and presenting evidence to grand juries in cases involving felony violations
- Training and developing lower graded law enforcement officers.
