What You'll Do

• Attend vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, assisting with newborn transition
• Manage neonatal admissions to NICU and discharge processes
• Admit and discharge newborns from NICU and NOU units
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (MD, RN, NNP, social services, radiology, etc.)
• Provide parent education and support, including breastfeeding assistance
• Administer medications via IV, IM, SQ, ETT, OGT/NGT, topical, and others
• Perform invasive procedures such as chest tube placement, PICC, UAC, and UVC insertions
• Assist with diagnostic tests including x-rays, ultrasounds, ABGs, EEGs
• Manage ventilators, central lines, and blood products
• Document and monitor neonatal patient care throughout shifts

What You Need

• Valid neonatal RN license in Louisiana
• Minimum of 3 years NICU experience, including management of ventilators and central lines
• Epic experience preferred
• Required Certifications: BLS & NRP
• Strong skills in IV placement, lab draws, medication administration, and neonatal procedures
• Compassionate, empathetic customer service mindset

About the Assignment
This assignment takes place in a busy and well-equipped Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit specializing in complex neonatal care and family-centered services. You'll work alongside a dedicated team providing high-quality care to fragile newborns, ensuring their transition to home or further treatment is safe and compassionate.
