BE A PART OF SOMETHING GREATThe Personal Trainer supports the work of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Responsible for designing and delivering safe, effective, and individualized fitness programs that support members in achieving their health and wellness goals. The Personal Trainer provides professional instruction, motivation, and education on proper exercise techniques while fostering a positive and inclusive environment. This role upholds a high standard of member engagement, safety, and customer service, and works collaboratively to support the mission of promoting healthy living and overall well-being within the community.Job responsibilitiesRepresent the YMCA in a professional and positive manner at all times.Deliver safe, effective, and engaging personal training services to members.Build respectful and motivating relationships with clients and YMCA members.Promote an inclusive environment consistent with YMCA values.Follow all YMCA policies, safety procedures, and operational guidelines.Communicate professionally and respond to messages within one business day.Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with clients and staff.Attend required trainings, meetings, and YMCA events as scheduled.Demonstrate teamwork, accountability, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.Accept feedback and adapt training practices and procedures as needed.Current up to date nationally recognized fitness credentialsMust be 18 years or older and a high school graduate or equivalentCurrent CPR Certification, training offeredSkill and knowledge of aerobic techniques and mechanicsTraining and teaching experience in aerobic and physical fitnessExcellent member relation and customer service skillsProfessional imageExcellent communication skillsFlexibility in work scheduleMaintain a valid drivers licenseBackground check can not contain offenses restricted by state lawDaytime availability requiredEmployee Benefits Include:Free FAMILY MembershipFlexible Work ScheduleA Team AtmosphereDiscount on Y ProgramsDiscount on Child CareThe Kenosha YMCA has zero tolerance for abuse of youth in its programs by employees or volunteers and will follow child abuse prevention policies, comply with mandated reporting requirements, and cooperate with law enforcement. #J-18808-Ljbffr YMC
