SUMMARY
The Senior Manager of Demand Planning is a key business partner to Sales, Marketing, Operations and Finance, responsible for leading Demand Planning, integrating forward-thinking demand, supply and financial planning insights. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in demand planning for fast-moving consumer goods, with experience working with supply chain network optimization and inventory planning. This person will directly oversee the demand planning team and be responsible for improving and standardizing tools, data sources and templates.

We’re seeking an individual with excellent facilitation and communication skills in order to work with different stakeholders across areas that are integral to meeting the company’s goals. S/he should be agile and collaborative with the ability to analyze needs based on capacity and capability, make pertinent connections across data and analytics and develop solutions where problems persist.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Sales & Operations Planning: Coordinating cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data exchange and decision-making. Facilitate regular S&OP meetings to review performance, address deviations, and adjust plans accordingly.
• Enhanced Reporting: Prepare a variety of monthly S&OP reports suitable for presentation to senior management, combining demand and supply topics. Develop insightful reporting to measure business performance and provide recommendations for improvement. 
• Forecasting and Demand Planning : Lead the development of a consensus forecast and collaborate with commercial teams to address questions/challenges and drive focus. Synthesize insights across various forecasts, elevating key takeaways and decisions.
• Supply/Production Planning/Inventory : Collaborate with the Supply Chain Leadership team to enhance tools, capabilities, and insights to improve execution and risk mitigation of the supply plan. Identify and assess implications between demand and supply.
• Process Improvements : Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of S&OP processes, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for usage of advanced technologies and tools to enhance S&OP processes, improving efficiency and accuracy.
• Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct reports. Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing and hiring Associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; assessing performance; rewarding and disciplining Associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

KNOWLEDGE

• Technical expertise: Data science, statistical forecasting, advanced analytics, and planning tools. SAP experience preferred.
• Functional understanding: Supply chain end-to-end planning foundations and S&OP mechanics
• Domain acumen: Business strategy, financial implications, and industry dynamics (including nature-based product supply chains)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent and 8+ years of relevant work experience required.
