Job Opportunity in McPherson, KSJoin our team in McPherson, KS, a vibrant city known for its community spirit and excellent quality of life. As part of our team, you will be responsible for the general assembly of components according to product specifications, engineering drawings, work orders, and quality procedures. You will receive cross-training in various tasks, including grinding, completing assembly checklists, testing parts, and monitoring stock bins, and will use a variety of hand and pneumatic tools. You will report directly to the Production Supervisor and the Plant Manager.ResponsibilitiesAssemble components according to blueprints, routers, work orders, checklists, and specifications to build, assemble, and test parts and finished goods that meet quality standards accurately and timely.Accurately complete assembly checklists.Monitor stock bins in the work area and report stock needs to Shop Floor Lead(s).Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by following company standards and procedures.Adhere to the company's Code of Conduct.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to work effectively unsupervised.Strategic and creative thinking to analyze issues and create solutions.Ability to respond positively to feedback and implement changes in processes and procedures as needed.Basic math skills.Ability to understand and interpret drawings, BOMs, and procedures.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.Physical DemandsRegularly required to read, write, and communicate in English.Stand and/or walk for 10 hours a day, with minimal breaks.Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds independently or up to 50 pounds with assistance.Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color distinction, and observing small handwriting, labels, and components.Always required to wear steel-toed shoes and safety glasses.Required to wear hearing protection in designated areas.Position requires on-site presence during scheduled shifts for daily duties and responsibilities.Requires daily face-to-face interaction and communication with employees on the production line and management.Work EnvironmentThe employee will work on the production shop floor, which does not have controlled temperatures and will vary based on weather conditions. Occasional exposure to fumes and minimal to moderate noise.Shift and ScheduleThe typical working hours for this role are 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Thursday.
