Job Description & Requirements Hematology / Oncology StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $650000.00 - $700000.00 An established, integrated healthcare system in Central Illinois is seeking a full-time Hematologist/Oncologist to join and help lead the continued expansion of its oncology services in the Peoria market. This opportunity offers the ability to build a growing cancer program, collaborate with a robust multidisciplinary team, and play a key role in shaping the future of oncology care throughout the region. Candidates with leadership interests will have the opportunity to step into an Associate Medical Director role and help drive program growth, physician recruitment, and strategic development. Practice HighlightsGeneral Hematology/Oncology practice with approximately 60-65% malignant oncology and 35-40% benign hematologyOpportunity to develop subspecialty interests, including breast, GU, prostate, and other disease-focused programsClinic-based practice featuring a mix of new consults, follow-ups, treatment management, and survivorship careInpatient consult volume averages 2-3 cases per day with strong hospitalist partnershipTechnology & Oncology ResourcesComprehensive oncology infrastructure including onsite CT, MRI, PET/CT, pathology, infusion services, and radiation oncologyWeekly multidisciplinary tumor boards and access to 11 disease-specific virtual tumor boards across the systemDedicated breast, colorectal, lung, prostate, and upper GI/GU navigatorsSupport from oncology pharmacists, registered nurses, dietitians, oncology social workers, and care coordinatorsAccess to clinical trials, survivorship programs, and genetic counseling servicesSubspecialized pathology support and fellowship-trained surgical oncology partnersAccredited cancer program with CoC, NAPBC, and NAPRC recognitionLeadership OpportunityThe organization is prioritizing recruitment of an experienced physician interested in helping establish and grow the oncology program.
