The Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting dentists and hygienists by ensuring efficient patient care and smooth clinical operations. This position involves direct patient interaction, preparation, and use of dental technology within a fast-paced dental office environment. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for dental procedures and treatments
- Sterilize dental instruments and maintain infection control protocols
- Perform dental radiography following safety standards
- Provide chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists during procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment coordination
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
- Ensure proper maintenance of dental equipment
- Utilize dental software systems including Eaglesoft and Dexis effectively
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in dental assisting
- X-ray Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- CPR Certification
- Radiation Safety Certification
- Experience with chairside assistance and infection control
- Proficiency in dental radiography and sterilization procedures
- Strong patient care skills
- Demonstrated teamwork and time management abilities
