Business Development Analyst (United States)
PCR Consulting LLC
The Opportunity
My client is seeking a Business Development Analyst to build the origination pipeline for a fast-growing middle-market advisory firm serving business owners considering a company sale, recapitalization, or growth capital raise. You will identify genuine interest and secure qualified consultations with senior advisors.
This is a prospecting and qualification position, not a financial modeling or valuation role. Using documented scripts, outreach sequences, and objection-handling methods, you will identify the right owners, qualify interest and timing, and book meetings for senior advisors.
What You Will Do
• Prospect into an assigned list of middle-market owners and decision-makers, working roughly three live leads per workday.
• Follow documented outreach sequences, scripts, qualification standards, and objection-handling methods.
• Identify genuine owner interest in a business sale or capital raise and assess timing and readiness.
• Book qualified Google Meet consultations on a senior advisor’s calendar, targeting approximately one meeting per day.
• Nurture prospects who are not yet ready to engage rather than dropping them from the pipeline.
• Maintain consistent second, third, and fourth follow-up touches to generate appointments.
• Accurately track conversations, activity, meeting bookings, and conversions for pipeline reporting.
• Leave valuation, deal structure, and financial terms to the senior advisors leading consultations.
What You Bring
• Sales or outbound prospecting experience, ideally involving high-ticket or high-consideration offerings.
• Discipline to execute an established prospecting methodology consistently and precisely.
• Curiosity about M&A and capital raising, with willingness to learn the fundamentals.
• Confidence engaging business owners and identifying genuine interest without overselling.
• Reliable follow-up, activity tracking, and conversation-volume discipline.
• Comfort with a 45 to 60 day engagement cycle and a first commission typically 60 to 75 days after starting.
• Full-time availability Monday through Friday; this is not a part-time opportunity.
• Must be based in the United States.
Compensation: 25% of retainers on originated engagements. At a $40,000 average retainer, commission is $10,000 per closed engagement. On-target earnings: approximately $120,000/year (not guaranteed); uncapped. Paid when the firm receives payment.
Why Join
Receive one-day onboarding, documented scripts and sequences, live objection-handling practice, group sales training three times weekly, a weekly 1:1, and access to 30+ recorded calls. Strong performers have a documented path into a Vice President, Business Development role.
