Shift: 12-hour Nights, 645 PM to 715 AM. Schedule may vary.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist provides comprehensive respiratory care to patients, ensuring optimal respiratory function and enhancing patient outcomes. This role includes performing various therapeutic interventions, providing education to patients and families, and contributing to the overall healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Perform diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical guidelines.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and equipment usage.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure integrated patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist.
• Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) preferred.
• Previous experience in a clinical acute care setting is advantageous.
