The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that all manufactured products meet rigorous quality standards, regulatory requirements, engineering specifications, and customer expectations. This position validates product quality at multiple stages of the manufacturing process and maintains accurate documentation to support compliance and traceability. The role involves conducting inspections, identifying and documenting non-conformances, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues, and actively supporting continuous improvement and audit activities to uphold a strong culture of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct receiving inspections on incoming materials and components to verify compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Perform in-process inspections during various stages of manufacturing to ensure products meet engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Carry out final inspections on completed products to confirm they meet all customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards before release.
• Identify, document, and report non-conformances, ensuring accurate and thorough records to support traceability and corrective actions.
• Collaborate closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to investigate and resolve quality issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date quality documentation and inspection records using digital documentation systems.
• Support internal and external quality audits, including ISO quality audits, by providing documentation, evidence, and process explanations as needed.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance inspection processes, product quality, and overall efficiency.
• Help promote and maintain a culture of quality throughout the organization by adhering to established procedures and encouraging best practices.
• Ensure all inspection activities comply with ISO 9001 or similar quality management system requirements and organizational standards.

Essential Skills:

• At least 2+ years of experience as a Quality Inspector.
• Hands-on experience performing quality inspection, quality control, and quality assurance activities in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience working in HVAC, mechanical equipment, or industrial manufacturing environments.
• Prior experience with ISO quality audits.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems and ISO standards.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, and assembly documentation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using digital documentation systems for recording inspection results and quality data.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in inspection and documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience supporting internal and external audits within an ISO 9001 or similar quality framework.
• Background in environments involving HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, or industrial manufacturing processes.
• Exposure to continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product quality and process efficiency.
• Strong communication skills for clearly documenting non-conformances and conveying quality requirements.
• Ability to adapt to evolving quality standards and organizational procedures.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
