Responsibilities
- Specializes in performing diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging studies to obtain clinical information as requested by a physician.
- Obtain patient history, explain standard procedures, address patient concerns, and provide comfort to meet individual patient needs.
- Operate and maintain all assigned nuclear medicine imaging equipment; perform quality assurance and routine maintenance as required.
- Measure and prepare radiopharmaceuticals, administer medications/substances within the technologist’s scope of practice under licensed supervision.
- Ensure radiation safety and perform all required safety measures to minimize exposure to patients, staff, and self; comply with The Joint Commission and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation, logs, charts, and records in both paper and electronic formats; assist with maintaining supply inventory and testing consumables.
- May assist other radiology areas as assigned; perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements
- Graduation from an AMA-approved school of nuclear medicine (REQUIRED)
- Registered in Nuclear Medicine with ARRT or NMTCB (REQUIRED)
- BLS certification (REQUIRED)
- Ability to work in a surgical center/hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment
- Documentation ready for submission per program requirements (AMA-approved school graduation proof; ARRT or NMTCB certification; healthsystem-wide profile standards)
