Process Engineer (Injection Molding)

• Minimum 3–5 years of process engineering experience

The Process Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining ISO-compliant plastic injection molding process standards for production and development. This role involves managing injection molding processes including mold setting, process development, material handling, troubleshooting, and statistical analysis. Strong leadership skills are required, with an emphasis on mentoring and coaching.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between manufacturing and engineering
• Train technical resources
• Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies for process development and problem solving
• Optimize cycle times, reduce scrap, and minimize downtime
• Create and maintain department procedures
• Monitor processes to ensure accurate execution
• Maintain quality standards within the department
• Promote communication between departments to fulfill customer orders
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Develop growth and development plans for personnel
• Assess equipment and personnel needs and implement changes
• Perform additional tasks as directed by management
• Overtime and occasional travel required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical training/experience preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of process engineering experience
• Ability to interpret part prints, quality plans, and work instructions
• Skilled in developing and writing work procedures and training personnel
• Proficient in Office software (Word, Excel)
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Working knowledge of CAD/SolidWorks and Mold Flow
• Experience with engineered and high-temp resins
• Demonstrated problem-solving experience
• Ability to program robots and exchange end-of-arm tooling
• Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015 standards
• Lean/Six Sigma training/certification
