Director of Operations – Automotive Industry TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a Director of Operations position in the Metro Detroit area. Overall Purpose Direct and manage the implementation of business guidelines, strategies, policies, and operations ensuring peak performance within a specific region Ensure financial, sales, and operational targets/KPI are met Creates, supports, and demonstrates commitment to the company Quality Policies & QMS Reports to General Manager Responsibilities Maintain and develop solid relationships with key contacts at anchor and OEM accounts Ensuring clear and transparent communication to the client with frequent and scheduled in-person meetings Developing business with existing clients on farming, and upselling (support provided by Sales for the quotation preparation and/or negotiation) Monitoring competition (services, prices...) at regional level Assist Sales with bringing on new business opportunities (hunting) Operations Review working practices to ascertain if it is successful and if not, devise an alternative Frequent site visits/audits to ensure high level performance and customer satisfaction Motivate teams and organize appropriate training Ensure compliance with established KPI Ensuring continuous improvement to optimize services provided and region efficiency Demonstrates commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies Organization & management Ensuring asset and staff availability throughout region for maximum performance Promote positive changes throughout organization Develop new processes and procedures that improve services while controlling costs Direct/manage recruiting to maintain staffing levels and performance considering turnover and new business Key contributor to company policies, systems, processes, strategies, budgets/forecast, and KPI Technical Analyzing technical requirements for customers' jobs/missions (existing or upcoming) Pulling technical resources when needed to anticipate and fully address client needs Provide technical support and advice to customers and operations teams Support development of technical expertise at regional level Hard Skills Full proficiency in local language Proficiency in English Computer skills – Microsoft Office (basic Microsoft Excel proficiency) and Outlook Work Instruction Writing Global team spirit Team player Caring for people Open-minded Reactive Resilient to pressure Rigorous Client oriented Reliable & trustworthy Flexible Initiative Autonomous Innovative Daring Overall recommendations 7+ years of work experience in automotive and/or manufacturing Operational/Quality background with overview capabilities Management responsibilities (operational and HR) Exposure to client relationship Education background Overall recommendations 4-year degree in Business/ Management or related field About TRIGO Global Quality Solutions Founded in 1997, TRIGO is a multinational company providing operational Quality Management solutions for the manufacturing sector, especially in the automotive and aerospace industries.
