Summer Camp Counselor

Summary

Looking for a Christ-centered, caring, energetic, patient, flexible, compassionate individual to become part of our teacher team.
Independently or with a partner, care for and manage a group of school-age children.
We are dedicated to offering the utmost quality of care to our children and families.
Individuals should possess at least 1 year of experience with children in grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.
Must pass background checks. Possessing a CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Duties

• Provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate, and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
• Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order.
• Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling.
• Enforce all administration policies and rules.
• Prepare materials and classrooms for class activities.
• Keep classroom and materials clean and organized.
• Let the program director know of any student absences.
• Provide active supervision at all times.

Requirements

Must have at least 1 year childcare experience.

• At be at least 18 yrs of age
• High School Diploma or GED
• Pursuing College Degree in Child Development, or Education Related Field or CDA is a plus

CPR and First Aid Certification
