The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.Status: Full Time RegularShift: EVENING SHIFTDepartment: LAB-Blood BankPosition SummarySummary:Under the direction of the Blood Bank Manager, the Section Head is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the transfusion service to ensure safe, timely, and compliant delivery of blood products. This role includes supervising and mentoring laboratory staff, coordinating workflow, and maintaining adequate inventory of blood components. The supervisor ensures adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., AABB, NYSDOH, CAP), supports quality assurance and process improvement initiatives, and investigates and resolves transfusion-related incidents.
