Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities
  • Conduct a wide variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Prioritize patient comfort and safety during procedures, gently guiding them through each step with clarity and empathy
  • Work closely with radiologists and referring physicians in delivering high-quality diagnostic images
  • Ensure the proper functioning of imaging equipment, promptly reporting any issues
  • Document all procedures accurately and maintain patient records within the electronic medical system
  • Stay abreast of advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and best practices for continuous improvement
Education Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a closely related field
  • CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program completion is preferred
Certifications Required
  • Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred
Skills Needed
  • High technical proficiency in sonographic imaging methods and patient positioning
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
