Senior E&I Designer

Our highly respected team of engineers, planners and project managers are committed to the innovation, sustainability and resource efficiencies that lead to a cleaner, safer and more sustainable future.We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Water Business Unit in our Electrical/Controls Group as a Senior E&I Designer to be located in Clearwater, FL.YOUR DAY TO DAY WILL INCLUDE:Provides technical and design services in support of water/wastewater design projects as part of a multi-discipline project team to produce design/construction drawings.Responsible for completing design tasks within budget and on schedule.Communicates with Project Managers, Sr. Engineers and design team to complete work efficiently.This position is responsible for the design and layout of engineering drawings.Produce drawings or sketches as required.Prepare quantities for cost estimating.On occasion, fieldwork may be required. Those duties would include observation of sitework.Performs other miscellaneous technical and non-technical duties as assigned.WHAT YOU NEED:10 years of related engineering design experience required.10 years’ experience working with AutoCADandAutodesk Revit design required.Extensive experience with electrical and/or controls design for water & wastewater treatment plants and remote stations using Revit and/or AutoCAD.Experience with developing P&ID’s, control panel layouts, I/O drawings, network architectures, single lines, riser diagrams, interconnect drawings, lighting and grounding drawings and schematics.Experience with instrumentation, bills of material, cable and fiber optic routing/connections, PLC hardware and networking hardwareAccomplished knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required.The ability to balance multiple work assignments on multiple projects at the same time is required.The ability to work alone but also effectively as part of a team is required.Requires process-oriented thinking with strong organizational and technical skills.Requires excellent communication, and the ability to take and understand directives from Project Engineers and Project Managers.The ability to complete work consistently, with moderate flexibility to accommodate varying demands from Project Managers is required.Candidates are required to have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record as determined by McKim & Creed.Candidates are required to pass a pre-employment drug screening.WHAT WILL MAKE YOU STAND OUT:Associate degree in CAD or equivalent preferred but not required.WHAT WE OFFER: Join a company that puts its employees first.
