Health Bioinformatics Lead, Senior Manager

The Opportunity:

Lead for Health Bioinformatics solutions to advance life sciences research, public health, and care, including informatics, clinical informatics, and public health informatics, for Federal Health clients. Lead a multi-disciplinary team in delivering solutions for our clients, including creating, optimizing and operationalizing bioinformatic pipelines, advancing next gen sequencing solutions, and building advanced cluster detection capabilities. Partner with solution engineers, scientific experts, and other leaders to create and deliver solution concepts to existing and prospective clients. Infuse AI and automation capabilities into our delivery teams to further optimize team velocity, quality, and repeatability. Engage with industry partners and leading technology vendors to incorporate emerging technology into our work products. Grow our bioinformatics capability through hiring and developing staff.

You Have:

• 12+ years of experience managing Health IT software delivery projects, including for U.S. Federal Health and research-based clients

• Experience with clinical research, trial management, life sciences, computer systems validation, health informatics, regulatory, or bioinformatics concepts, processes, systems, standards, and solutions, including electronic data capture, clinical research management, trial master file, electronic common technical document, good manufacturing practice, or laboratory information management systems

• Experience developing and maintaining tools and technology in clinical research operations, life sciences, and data standards, including Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium

• Experience with shaping and capturing business development opportunities

• Experience with leading and supporting proposal efforts, including capture lead, solutions lead, teaming, and pricing

• Ability to work with client organizations to translate business needs into a technology or management strategy and solution

• Ability to manage multiple project tracks, adjust quickly to shifting priorities, and solve problems to complex situations

• Bachelor's degree

• Experience working for US Federal health clients

• Experience with large-scale health data-sharing solutions

• Experience with HHS Enterprise Performance Life Cycle compliance and Agile software development

• Possession of strong communication and presentation skills

• Master's degree in Public Health preferred; Doctorate degree in Biomedical Science or Life Science a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $142,900.00 to $266,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
