Job Description

The Operating Room Assistant, also known as a First Assist RN, is responsible for assisting physicians during surgical procedures. The candidate will work under the supervision of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure a safe and clean environment for surgeries. Responsibilities include preparing the operating room, managing instruments, and ensuring post-surgical cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with surgical procedures.
• Ensure the operating room is clean before, during, and after surgeries.
• Manage surgical instruments and equipment.
• Float to other departments as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation as required.

Required Experience and Certifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• First Assist Certification.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with Cerner EMR is preferred.
