Med Lab Tech Job Type: Travel Profession: Laboratory Specialty: Med Lab Tech (MLT) Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Monday-Thursday/Rotating 12 and 8 hour shifts Hours per Shift: 32 hours scheduled plus on-call hours Experience: 2+ years current MLT or MLS experience in a hospital or medical setting License: Active ASCP or AMT certification required Certifications: BLS certification preferred Must-Have: COVID-19 vaccination required Description: The department is quick to interview and offer positions. Diagnosis and treatment of many health conditions often involves tests or procedures that require special services to evaluate samples and report findings. Responsible for the performance of timely, accurate, quality clinical laboratory tests and basic clinical laboratory functions. Perform appropriate specimen collection, handling, processing, and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing. Conduct performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing. Engage in performance and interpretation of quality control/calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities. Perform maintenance, calibrations, and function checks. Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in this laboratory.
