Kelly Services is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a manufacturing facility located in Longwood, FL 32750, to oversee the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, equipment, and physical structures.

The Maintenance Technician's main goal is to minimize operational downtime through effective preventative maintenance, prompt repairs, and ensuring a safe, efficient environment.

Pay- $16-$18/hour Schedule- Mon-Friday 7am-4:30pm Temp to hire

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and production systems to prevent equipment failures.
• Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose, dismantle, and repair machinery; fix motors, pumps, and electrical and structural issues.
• Record-Keeping: Track maintenance activities, log parts used, and manage supply inventories using work order software.
• Emergency Response: Serve as the primary contact for quickly addressing facility or operational emergencies.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience troubleshooting equipment, knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and ability to read schematics
• Technical training or relevant certifications preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems associated with production equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to quickly diagnose root causes of equipment issues.
• Ability to read and interpret documents (safety rules, instructions, procedural manuals).
• Basic computer skills.
• Understanding and application of basic shop math.
• Able to follow written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.
• Familiar with standard maintenance concepts, practices, and procedurescreativity and sound judgment a must.
• Ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and maintain strong attention to detail.

Physical Demands:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, squat, use hands, reach, and communicate.
• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
