Role Description The Line Cook is a full-time, on-site role based at Tower Club Fort Lauderdale in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to standardized recipes, plating guidelines, and club quality standards. Daily tasks include setting up and breaking down stations, maintaining proper food storage and rotation, and ensuring a clean and organized work area. The Line Cook follows food safety and sanitation procedures, coordinates with kitchen teammates and leadership during service, and supports special events and banquets as needed. This role also contributes to menu execution by assisting with prep work, communicating effectively on the line, and consistently delivering dishes that meet presentation and taste expectations. Qualifications Solid foundation in basic cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, roasting, and frying, with the ability to follow recipes and portion standards. Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper kitchen hygiene, including safe food handling, storage, and temperature control. Experience working on a line in a busy kitchen environment, with strong time management and the ability to stay calm and organized during peak service. Attention to detail in food presentation, plating, and consistency, with a commitment to maintaining club quality standards. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with chefs, other line cooks, and service staff in a fast-paced setting. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and work safely with kitchen equipment and tools. Previous experience in an upscale or high-volume restaurant, hotel, or club kitchen is preferred. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
