Manager, Advanced Practice Provider - Digestive Health Surgical Services - Medical Group APPs - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union)

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager oversees the administrative and clinical operations of the department. The APP Manager will participate in developing structured APP associated metrics for assessing outcomes of APP care and quality of care metrics; in ensuring that APPs meet various state and federal regulatory agency requirements and ensure that APPs participate in cost-savings and revenue-generating practices. A key objective for the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager is to support industry standard APP procedures and implementation of best practices across Keck. The Manager is responsible for leading and supporting advanced practice to ensure quality and efficient patient care. They provide direction and oversight of Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants) in select areas of Keck/Norris Hospital and USC CARE Medical Group, through excellent management, coaching, and mentoring to make sure their development is in concert with Keck Medical Center of USC mission, values, and goals. Practicing outstanding performance-management skills, they will promote and encourage an empowered and engaged workforce by establishing and maintaining a practice environment consistent with Keck commitment to patient centered care, new knowledge and innovation, team collaboration, and evidence-based practice. By building collaborative relationships with multiple counterparts and key stakeholders, including physician, nursing, and administrative leadership, Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Manager will support the advancement of organizational goals, programs, and projects. This position will be responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures regarding hiring, credentialing, privileging, care-delivery model, performance appraisal/competency assessment are expertly met.

• Essential Job Functions ◦ Manages assigned staff and functions by assigning work, developing work procedures consistent with hospital policy, establishing work schedules and monitoring work performance performed by subordinates to meet agreed-upon goals, objectives, and target dates. ◦ Performs management functions by interviewing and hiring staff members; providing or arranging for training for subordinates; evaluating performance; and recommending or initiating personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, merit salary increases, or disciplinary action to ensure adequate and competent staffing as well as initiating or recommending responses to employee grievances. ◦ Participate in or lead efforts to assess outcomes of APP care throughout Keck/Norris Hospital and USC CARE Medical Group. ◦ Ensure that APPs meet or exceed various local, state, and federal regulatory agency requirements. ◦ Ensure that APPs throughout Keck/Norris Hospital and USC CARE Medical Group have evidence-based practices that support cost-savings and revenue generating initiatives. ◦ Collaborates with the Center for Advanced Practice to create, support, or lead initiatives to improve the work environment of APPs throughout Keck/Norris Hospital and USC CARE Medical Group. ◦ Support the shared leadership model of shared governance and participate in Magnet activities. ◦ May also participate in a clinical practice.

Required Qualifications:

• Req Master's degree Advanced Practice Provider - *Master's Degree In Nursing, OR Physician Assistant (PA), Or Other Healthcare-Related Field From An Accredited University.
• Req 5 years Experience as a licensed Advanced Practice Provider: (Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner),
• Req 2-3 years Management Experienced required.

The annual base salary range for this position is $164,403.00 - $271,265.00.
