Cashier (PT)

PT Cashier - Massapequa Store! Our busy Massapequa Store is seeking a PT Cashier for their front end. Cashiers are responsible for processing cash, debit, credit and check transactions using a cash register/point of purchase system. Duties include balancing the cash register, making change, recording purchases, processing returns and scanning items for sale. Responsibilities Process sales transactions Calculate the cost of products or services Accept payments as indicated as acceptable payments by our SOP Calculate and return change when required by the payment method Maintain adequate change denominations in the cash drawer and request additional change Answer customer questions about products or services Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts Requirements Excellent work ethic and self motivated to provide excellent customer service Friendly and approachable Must be able to speak, read and communicate in the English language Able to perform basic math using a register to provide accurate change to customers Perks of joining our team: Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan 50% off lunch while youre on shift 25% discount on in-store shopping Plus additional employee benefits and perks Employment Type: Part Time Salary: $17 - $18 Hourly
