Registered Nurse – ICU

Location: Lubbock, TX | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type: Contract | Days | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in an ICU setting with expected nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
• Care for neurological ICU patients including post-craniotomy, stroke, and EVD (external ventricular drain) cases
• Float between units as needed based on staffing and census requirements
• Participate in weekend shifts, with a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
• Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
• Complete required facility modules prior to start and during orientation

Required Qualifications:

• Active RN license required; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU experience required
• Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Must submit all RTO and scheduling requests upfront at the time of submission — post-offer RTO requests may not be considered
• 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required prior to start
• Facility does not accept background hits; candidates with Nursys or background issues will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with Neuro ICU patient populations, including post-craniotomy, stroke, and EVD management
• Familiarity with block scheduling in a high-acuity hospital environment
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or similarly complex acute care facility
