Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Irrigation Technician to join our dynamic landscape maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining irrigation systems across various properties. Your expertise will ensure that landscapes receive optimal water distribution, promoting healthy growth and vibrant scenery. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors, utilize your mechanical skills, and contribute to beautiful, sustainable landscapes.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as excavators.
- Conduct routine inspections of irrigation components to identify leaks, clogs, or malfunctions and perform necessary repairs promptly.
- Adjust sprinkler heads and valves to ensure proper coverage and water efficiency across lawns and landscaped areas.
- Operate construction equipment safely during installation or repair projects while adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with landscape teams to coordinate irrigation needs with ongoing horticultural or landscaping activities.
- Maintain detailed records of system installations, repairs, inspections, and parts used for accurate reporting and future reference.
Experience
- Proven experience working with irrigation systems, including installation and troubleshooting.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing, piping, valves, and sprinkler components.
- Familiarity with lawn care practices and landscape maintenance techniques.
- Hands-on experience operating hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment such as excavators.
- Knowledge of horticulture principles and landscaping best practices is a plus.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints related to irrigation layouts.
