SMT Level 2 Operator

Job Description We are seeking an experienced Level 2 SMT Operator to program, set up, and operate surface mount production equipment in a high-volume electronics manufacturing environment. This role requires hands‑on expertise across multiple SMT equipment types and a strong commitment to quality and production efficiency. Job Description & Duties Program, set up, and operate SMT equipment including printer, SPI, pick-and-place, reflow oven, AOI, and router Create and optimize reflow oven thermal profiles to meet process requirements Perform first article inspections and continuous visual quality checks against BOMs and assembly drawings Knows & understands how to apply base level IPC-610 standards Identify and correct equipment misfeeds, misplacements, and alignment issues; escalated when technical support is needed Support line changeovers, feeder loading, and parts kit management Maximize equipment throughput while ensuring safe operation and compliance Quality Maintain equipment cleanliness and a safe, orderly workspace System requirements Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED required Minimum 2 years of SMT manufacturing experience, including programming and operation Ability to program at least two types of SMT equipment based on line layout: Printer, SPI, P&P, Oven (thermal profiles), AOI, or Router Ability to read and verify bills of material, assembly drawings, and other technical documentation Visual acuity of 20/20 with correction; ability to discern all colors Prefer English or bilingual (English/Spanish) Must pass pre-employment drug test Must pass criminal background check (no federal offenses; must meet Foreign Trade Zone – FTZ – security requirements) Lift up to 35 lbs Authorized to work in the U.S. required (U.S. citizenship or permanent residency only – no visa sponsorship) Wages & Benefits Pay: Commensurate with experience Pay frequency: Bi-weekly Benefits: Health insurance (vision included), Dental insurance, Company-paid $20,000 life insurance + AD&D, Short & Long-term disability, Paid Time Off, Paid holidays Work Eligibility & Hiring Preferences Authorized to work in the U.S. required: Yes Will sponsor work visas: No Open to hiring individuals with disabilities: Yes #J-18808-Ljbffr
