Intelus Technology Group has been the local IT team for Arizona businesses since 2005. From our Tucson office, we keep our clients' systems running, protect their data, modernize their communications, and secure their facilities — with local technicians who answer the phone and show up on site. Our clients include small businesses, car dealerships, law firms, schools, manufacturers, and real estate firms across the region.

We're hiring a sales professional with a technology background to develop new business and grow existing accounts throughout Tucson and Southern Arizona, with opportunity to work Phoenix-area accounts as well.

What You'll Sell

Your primary focus is growing our managed IT, cybersecurity, and cloud business, with additional opportunity across the full portfolio:

• Managed IT — ongoing support, proactive maintenance, network management, and 24/7 monitoring
• Cybersecurity — managed security services and email protection for systems, users, and data
• Cloud — Microsoft 365, cloud backup, and disaster recovery
• vCIO & IT Consulting — technology planning and budgeting for clients without an internal IT leader
• Business Phones — 3CX VoIP systems
• Video Surveillance & Access Control — commercial camera systems and Brivo entry solutions
• Cabling & Networking — structured data cabling, wired networks, and business Wi-Fi

What You'll Do

• Develop new business through outbound calls, email, networking, referrals, and in-person visits
• Work inbound leads from our website and referral network
• Grow an assigned book of existing clients and uncover additional service opportunities
• Meet with owners and decision-makers to understand their needs, risks, and budgets
• Recommend solutions that improve reliability, security, and day-to-day operations
• Coordinate site visits and work with our technical team on design, estimates, and proposals
• Present proposals, follow up, and close
• Maintain accurate records and an active pipeline
• Hit agreed sales goals and hand off cleanly to our service and installation teams

You'll receive inbound leads and existing accounts to grow, but this is an active business development role — a significant share of your opportunities will be ones you create.

What You'll Need

• Prior sales experience: finding opportunities, presenting solutions, following up, and closing. It does not have to be technology sales.
• A working technology background — IT support, networking, telecom, cloud, security systems, access control, or similar
• The ability to explain technical concepts in plain, practical language
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Organization, initiative, and consistent follow-through
• Valid Arizona driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record
• Ability to travel to client sites throughout Southern Arizona
• Ability to pass a background check

Your sales and technology experience can come from two different chapters of your career. A candidate who sold in another industry and previously worked in IT support or security installation is exactly who we want to hear from.

Nice to Have

• B2B sales experience
• Experience selling recurring services or service agreements
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365, managed IT, cybersecurity, VoIP, or commercial security systems
• CRM and pipeline management experience
• Existing relationships in the Southern Arizona business community

You don't need experience with every product line — we'll train you on the rest.

Training & Support

We train you on our products, services, and sales process. You'll have technical support for solution design and estimating, plus direct collaboration with our service and installation teams. You bring the sales ability, the technology foundation, and the drive.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary of $35,000–$60,000, depending on experience
• Uncapped commission on eligible sales, earned on both recurring services and installation projects

How commission works

You earn a percentage of gross profit — revenue minus the direct cost of delivering the equipment or services:

• Managed IT agreements — 20% of first-year gross profit. A $3,000/month agreement at a 50% margin pays $3,600.
• VoIP and recurring security subscriptions — 15% of first-year gross profit. A $500/month agreement at a 40% margin pays $360.
• Installation projects — 12% of project gross profit. A $30,000 project producing $12,000 in gross profit pays $1,440.

What that can add up to. A rep in their first full year who closes five managed IT agreements averaging $2,000/month and $150,000 in installation work would earn roughly $19,200 in commission — total compensation of about $54,000 to $79,000. An established rep producing ten agreements at $3,000/month and $300,000 in installation work would earn roughly $50,400 in commission, for total compensation of about $85,000 to $110,000.

Cloud service commissions vary by solution. These are illustrations, not guarantees — actual commission depends on your results, margins, customer payment, and the written commission plan, which we'll review in full during the interview process.
