Empower students and make a real difference as a Special Education Teacher working with grades 6 through 8 in a contract, full-time, in-person role. As an Intervention Specialist, you'll have the opportunity to foster growth, develop individualized learning strategies, and be an integral part of a supportive middle school environment. Your expertise will help shape the educational journey of young learners, providing them with the tools and encouragement they need to succeed.

Desired Skills & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education or Intervention Specialist (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with middle school students is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes, implementation, and documentation
• Excellent communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies and materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and support to students with special needs in grades 6-8, in accordance with IEPs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, related service providers, and parents to promote student success
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust interventions as needed
• Prepare and implement individualized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
• Advocate for each student’s educational and social needs within the school community
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district and state special education guidelines
