The role involves conducting VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) evaluations for veterans. You will perform objective, structured psychological assessments to assist the VA in determining disability benefits. Evaluations may be conducted in person and/or via telehealth, depending on assignment needs. This is a 1099 independent contractor position, compensated on a per‑evaluation basis. Responsibilities Conduct structured psychological evaluations for veterans based on VA guidelines. Utilize Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and standardized assessment tools. Gather relevant history through focused, objective interviews. Document findings clearly and concisely in VA‑required formats. Provide factual, unbiased assessments without influencing outcomes. Complete and submit reports within required timeframes. No diagnosing for treatment, therapy, or medication management. Maintain strict boundaries between evaluation and clinical care. Adhere to all ethical, legal, and confidentiality standards. Maintain professionalism when working with veteran populations. Qualifications PhD from an APA‑accredited program in Clinical, Counseling, or School Psychology. Active psychologist license. Strong report‑writing and documentation skills. Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols. Compensation & Structure 1099 independent contractor position, $125–$210 per evaluation. Flexible scheduling; telehealth and in‑person opportunities available. Ideal Candidate Detail‑oriented, efficient, comfortable with structured, fact‑based evaluations, able to maintain objectivity and neutrality, strong time‑management and documentation skills.
