Nestled in the heart of the vibrant East Bay area of California, we are on a mission to revolutionize the way home health is perceived and delivered.**Muir Home Health is growing and looking for an experienced and compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) to join our team!** As an HHA with Muir Home Health, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while receiving strong compensation and excellent benefits.**BENEFITS*** Competitive compensation* Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance* 401(k) plan with generous company match* Critical illness benefit* Paid time off* Employee assistance program**Pay Range:** $24.00 - $28.00/hr**Job Type:** Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem**JOB SUMMARY**The Home Health Aide is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient’s needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed.**DUTIES AND RESPSONSIBILITY**Provide personal care including:* Baths* Back rubs* Oral hygiene* Shampoos* Change bed linen* Assist patients with dressing and undressing* Nail & Skin care to prevent breakdown* Assist the patient with toileting activities* Keep patient’s living area clean and orderlyOther duties include:* Plan and prepare nutritious meals.* Assist in feeding the patient* Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered.* Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care.* Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered.* Assist patient in the self-administration of medication.* Do patient’s laundry* Meet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools, side rails, etc.)* Report on patient’s condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse**JOB REQUIREMENTS*** Active Home Health Aide Certification through CA Department of Public Health* Maintain a current CPR certification* Home Health experience preferred* Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order**WHY MUIR HOME HEALTH?**Muir Home Health **is part of the Cornerstone Group**with about 75 home health and hospice agencies throughout the country. **While we are part of a large family, we operate as a local team.**We understand we are nothing without great employees!
