Remote Licensed Therapist for Private Practice

Job Description The Marriage and Family Therapist will be required to provide, evaluate, and develop individualized plans for individuals, families, and teenagers. The role involves a variety of interventions focused on problem-solving, cognitive behavior modification, brief psychodynamic therapy, coping skills, substance abuse treatment, and other evidence-based practice techniques. Responsibilities Counsel patients on concerns such as unsatisfactory relationships, previous trauma, divorce and separation, home management, and financial difficulties. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans. Encourage patients to develop and use skills and strategies for confronting their problems in a constructive manner. Perform timely and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment intervention. Select the appropriate treatment modality for each patient’s presenting problem. Collect information using testing, interviewing, discussion, and observation. Demonstrate expertise in a variety of treatment methodologies. Properly use counseling techniques, interpersonal communication, interview techniques, and conflict resolution strategies. Provide appropriate and timely documentation of clinical encounters. Adhere to all mandated guidelines for patient clinical care and licensing. Render appropriate guidance and therapy. Comply with organizational, departmental, state/federal guidelines and all regulatory agency policies and procedures. Skills and Abilities Direct experience with cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, child therapy, group therapy, and behavior modification. Great teamwork skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well with others. Attentiveness and tactfulness. Proficiency in using an electronic medical records (EMR) system (DrChrono) to document patient charts. Minimum Qualifications Experience Minimum of Two (2) years of post‑graduate experience in a behavioral health setting is required. Education Master’s degree from an accredited program. License, Certification, Registration All applicants must have a valid and current CA MFT/LCSW license.
