Make a meaningful impact in students' educational journeys by providing specialized support as a Physical Therapist. This contract-based opportunity is located in a welcoming environment near Naperville, IL, and is ideal for professionals with a passion for working in educational settings. The short-term assignment runs from August 17 through November 4, offering the chance to care for students across various grade levels with a particular emphasis on Transition-aged individuals (20–22 years old).
Key Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Physical Therapist license required
- Prior experience in school-based physical therapy a must
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with pediatric and transition-aged populations
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct educationally related physical therapy services onsite to students receiving special education support
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy to improve or compensate for gross motor skill deficits
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other allied professionals to support students' educational goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and timely records in line with school policies
- Support transition-aged students in developing skills for adult and community environments
