Nursing Supervisor Full-Time Nights

Kindred Hospital Louisville at Jewish Hospital is a 30-bed long-term acute care hospital, with all private rooms, situated within Jewish Hospital. We offer extensive care for an extended recovery period with 24-hour clinical care 7 days a week to support wellness journeys. Located in the heart of the Jewish Hospital campus in downtown Louisville, we are easily accessible from main roads and highways. Job Summary Supervises nursing staff, assesses patient needs, and provides nursing care for patients. Plans and organizes training for unit staff members and participates in guidance and educational programs. Essential Functions Hires, trains, supervises and evaluates designated nursing staff; assigns duties and coordinates nursing services. Participates in developing nursing protocols and procedures. Provides continuing education and staff development opportunities for nursing staff. Assesses patient needs; participates in providing nursing care; ensures services are carried out and documented appropriately. Maintains patient healthcare records. Maintains supply inventory records; orders supplies and equipment as necessary. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Expectations Supervisory skills and ability to evaluate job performance. Ability to make decisions and accept responsibility for the work unit. Time-management skills and ability to organize priorities. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information to assure rights are protected. Good and regular attendance. Read, write, and speak fluent English. Approximate percent of time required to travel: 0% Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Degree from an accredited school of nursing. Licenses and Certifications Valid state Registered Nurse license. Valid BLS certification.
