Mental Health Professional

Licensed Mental Health Professional Tasked with a 50/50 share between the Behavior Support Team (BeST) and Children’s Specialty Care, this role provides short‑term community‑based intervention services to families with children who have developmental disabilities and behavior challenges, as well as individual, family, and group therapy for patients in an office setting. Potentially up to $5,000 sign on bonus! Position Summary Conduct comprehensive intake assessments of youth and family needs, generate treatment and crisis plans, complete functional behavior assessments, develop positive behavior support plans, and provide clinical services such as individual and family therapy throughout treatment. Meet agency documentation standards, tailor effective clinical and case‑management services, and make decisions regarding treatment planning, intervention, and discharge planning from an informed clinical perspective that incorporates Positive Behavior Support and best‑practice guidelines. Responsibilities You will complete psychiatric or psychosocial assessments, including mental status exams. You will develop assessment and comprehensive treatment plans with the individual and communicate unique needs. You will provide psychotherapy, supportive therapy, problem‑solving, role‑playing, modeling, and support, social skill development, and assertiveness training. You will document all encounters in the electronic health record according to organization policies and procedures and monitor outcome measurements. You will collaborate with referral sources and other members of the patient’s clinical team. You will provide ongoing measurement of treatment outcomes and evaluation of intervention effectiveness. You will conduct intake assessments of youth and family needs across all life domains and review or update them as indicated. You will complete a functional behavior assessment and develop a positive behavior support plan informed by the assessment. You will provide clinical services such as individual and family therapy as needed. You will meet agency documentation standards and authorization requirements of contracts. You will strategically tailor clinical and case‑management services to meet diverse patient needs. You will make decisions regarding treatment planning, intervention, and discharge planning from an informed clinical perspective that incorporates Positive Behavior Support and Best Practice Guidelines. You will provide interventions in settings appropriate to youth and family such as residence, school, and community. A reliable and insured vehicle is required to attend multiple community‑based appointments. You will refer to and collaborate with the Developmental Disabilities Administration Case Resource Manager, specialized agencies, and/or community‑based resources when clinically indicated. You will maintain client records in keeping with agency, county, contract and state guidelines. You will complete continuing education training as required by state regulations and all training required by MultiCare. You will attend weekly individual clinical supervision, weekly team meetings, and required agency meetings. You will demonstrate commitment to cultural competence. Requirements Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field. Master’s credential holder who is a Licensed Mental Health Professional as defined within HB 1724: Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Social Worker Independent Clinical Lic (LICSW). Valid driver’s license/abstract. Pay and Benefit Expectations We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off.
