Forklift Operator (Industrial/Government Facility) – Hampton Roads, VA
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator to support operations within a secure and well-regulated facility in the Hampton Roads area. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in precision, accountability, and maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, or specialty equipment) to move, load, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Transport materials throughout the facility while following all established procedures and site protocols
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain accurate inventory movement and assist with material tracking as needed
- Support warehouse, yard, or production operations as directed by supervisors
- Follow all safety guidelines, including PPE requirements and site-specific regulations
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Prior forklift operating experience required (certification preferred or ability to obtain)
- Ability to operate equipment in a structured, compliance-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Dependable work history and ability to follow established procedures consistently
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial environment
- Willingness to comply with pre-employment screening and site access requirements
