The ideal candidate will hold one of the following independent licenses: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will engage in a range of critical duties targeted at enhancing patient well-being. These responsibilities include:

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand patients' psychosocial needs and identify appropriate treatment pathways, including case management and crisis intervention.
• Assist patients in navigating the complexities of mental health benefits, helping them to complete necessary paperwork for entitlements, supplemental insurance, and other assistance programs.
• Support patients in accessing needed prescription cost assistance via community resources and indigent programs administered by pharmaceutical companies.
• Act as a dedicated advocate for patients while collaborating with external community agencies, ensuring they receive adequate support and services.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, preparing detailed reports, documentation, and progress notes in compliance with best practices and organizational standards.
• Coordinate transportation assistance for patients when required, facilitating their access to care.
• Participate in clinical team meetings and case conferences to discuss patient progress and tailor treatment strategies effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our therapists work with a variety of patient demographics, including children, adults, and families facing a wide range of mental health challenges. The counselor will be instrumental in developing individualized treatment plans aimed at addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and interpersonal relationship difficulties. This role significantly impacts enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling.
• An active and independent licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in a mental health setting, demonstrating a track record of successful patient outcomes and counseling proficiency.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems will be considered a strong advantage, as will experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care practices. Familiarity with community resources in Hillsboro and surrounding areas will also enhance your effectiveness in this role.
