Software Engineer

Dynamic Work schedule - This is 5 days on site a month- in the same week then the remainder of the month is working from home. ( They can fly/drive into the office as well). Location - Durham NC (preference), Merrimack NH, Boston MA, SMT

Must Have:

Experience designing and developing microservices within a public cloud working with AWS or Azure, EKS preferred (Amazon)
Highly skilled in Spring Boot, Hibernate, JDBC, multithreading, Microservices, and RESTful web services
Proficient in SQL, relational databases, data modeling

We are seeking experienced Software Engineer with a passion for delivering high impact operational and analytical customer data solutions that integrate across a large organization. In this role, you will build and modernize the API, business rules, and database layers of our Unified Customer Profile (UCP) platform. You will also apply a variety of cloud-native (AWS and Snowflake) technologies to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. This position is a critical element to delivering Fidelity’s promise of creating the best customer experiences in financial services!

You will be joining the UCP Platform team which provides seamless platform upgrades and enhancements to the infrastructure that hosts our customer data. This team works very closely across customer profile product teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that enhance our ability to service our customers while ensuring our UCP platform is scalable, reliable, and sustainable long-term!

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or closely related)
5+ years of experience in application and REST API development using Java
Tried experience architecting and writing microservices with Java
Strong in handling API to database connection management using different database drivers - Relational Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, Elastic search, Graph DB, etc.)
Experience with DevOps or CI/CD Pipelines using Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Stash, Ansible, etc.
