About the Role
The Company is seeking a Fractional Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide high-level financial leadership, strategy, and oversight on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, administering, and coordinating the organization's financial and operational activities in alignment with the Executive Director and Board of Directors. This role requires a strategic financial advisor who can translate financial data into actionable insights, ensure compliance with GAAP and government standards, and lead the annual budgeting process. The Fractional CFO will also be involved in financial operations oversight, including cash flow management, and will provide executive oversight of the financial management of various grants and contracts. Applicants for the Fractional CFO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a CPA being required or strongly preferred. A minimum of 7 years' of financial leadership experience, particularly in government-funded nonprofit organizations, is necessary. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, and compliance, as well as experience with HUD-funded programs. Essential skills include the ability to exercise sound judgment, analyze data, and build collaborative relationships. The role demands a professional with a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing organizational priorities while providing strategic financial guidance. Proficiency in financial management software and a strong understanding of nonprofit accounting and financial reporting standards are also key qualifications.
