Currently, we are looking for Licensed Practical (LPN )to be an integral part of a team that helps change the lives of our residents each day and where you can make a profound difference by applying your nursing expertise at our Taylor Care Center Facility. The LPN role provides care and treatment in accordance with physicians’ orders. Works in a team environment and within scope of practice as defined by the State. The Licensed Practical Nurse works under the direction of physicians and Registered Nurses. Assesses patients by physical examination, including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status. Administers medications and treatments. Participates in the care planning process. Supervises personal-care workers and certified nursing assistants, monitoring assigned personnel to assure they are following established standards of care, regulations, and appropriate use of equipment and supplies. Communicates with physicians regarding changes in residence condition, diagnostic test results, etc. Documents assessments and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy Educates patients and their families on health related issues. Completes accident/incident reports as necessary with proper documentation. Informs personnel of new admissions, diagnoses, and room assignments. Participates in all required training. Performs other duties as assigned. Valid Florida State license as an LPN. Current CPR certification.. Minimum 2 years’ experience in adult living community or skilled nursing facility preferred. Be able to meet all AHCA regulations and pass pre-employment physical exam. This requirement also includes drug screening Level II background screen and reference inquiry.
