Travel RN - Emergency Dept

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a community hospital emergency department requiring a VA or compact license and EPIC charting experience. Requirements Active VA or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration Minimum 1 year of ER experience required Community hospital experience required BSN preferred; diploma and ASN accepted from ACEN or CCNE accredited programs Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Preferred certifications: NRP, TNCC EPIC charting experience required Skills in IV therapy/phlebotomy, central line care, blood product administration, and interpretation of ABGs Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and triage 2 professional references required (supervisor level or above) Responsibilities Community hospital Emergency Department setting General ED serving combined adult and pediatric populations Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-7:00 Patient ratio of 1:4 Floating within scope required if needed Care for a variety of ER cases including trauma, stroke, cardiac, and pediatric emergencies Provide emergency nursing care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric presentations Perform triage and apply isolation precautions/PPE as needed Complete required orientation modules through the VCU Learning Exchange during orientation week Subject to a natural nail policy Facility is a smoke and tobacco-free workplace All ER candidates must undergo fingerprinting per Virginia state code, with results required prior to start (15-20 business day turnaround) Local candidates accepted at the same base rate with no radius restrictions Previous VCU Health employees must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible to return as a traveler RTO requests must be submitted with consideration and are subject to manager approval; no time off granted during the first week of assignment First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr American Traveler
