Clinical Research Coordinator

BVL Clinical Research is a clinical research site specializing in gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) studies. Our team partners with leading physicians, sponsors, and patients to advance innovative treatments that improve lives. We’re seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRC II) to join our team. This is a FULLY ON-SITE position in Liberty, Missouri. Candidates must currently live within commuting distance of Liberty, MO to be considered. Relocation assistance is not available, and we are unable to consider candidates planning to relocate independently. SCHEDULE Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM , with occasional flexibility to support patient schedules or monitoring visits. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible. Saturday work is not a routine requirement. POSITION OVERVIEW The CRC II independently coordinates assigned clinical trials from start-up through closeout. The CRC II reports directly to the Director of Operations and works under the PI’s clinical and protocol oversight. This role partners with participants, investigators, sponsors, monitors, and research staff to ensure trials are conducted ethically, safely, accurately, and in accordance with the protocol, applicable regulations, and BVL Clinical Research policies. The CRC II must maintain confidentiality of participant, employee, sponsor, and business information and comply with HIPAA and all applicable privacy requirements. An RN license is preferred but not required; candidates with relevant clinical, laboratory, or research-coordination experience are encouraged to apply. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Independently manage assigned studies, including feasibility support, start-up activities, screening, enrollment, visit coordination, follow-up, study closeout, and timely sponsor communication. Explain study procedures and support the informed-consent process in collaboration with the PI and delegated study personnel. Perform or coordinate protocol-required assessments and procedures within scope of training, delegation, and applicable licensure; prepare, process, store, and ship specimens according to protocol and laboratory requirements. Maintain complete, accurate, contemporaneous source documentation, regulatory files, case report forms, and electronic data-capture entries; resolve data queries promptly. Identify, document, elevate and report adverse events, serious adverse events, protocol deviations, and other reportable events per the protocol, sponsor requirements, IRB policy, and PI direction. Perform routine quality-control checks to support data integrity, participant safety, informed-consent documentation, and protocol compliance. Prepare for and participate in monitoring visits, audits, inspections, investigator meetings, and training; assist with corrective actions and follow-up documentation as assigned. Maintain effective communication with PIs, sponsors, monitors, participants, and internal staff, escalating operational, safety, data-integrity, and compliance concerns promptly. Support training and day-to-day guidance of new research staff or coordinators as assigned; this role does not carry formal supervisory authority. Comply with all BVL Clinical Research policies, SOPs, the Employee Handbook, and applicable privacy, safety, FDA, ICH-GCP, IRB, and sponsor requirements. Perform other duties consistent with the role as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required Relevant clinical, laboratory, healthcare, or research-coordination experience is required 2+ years of experience in clinical research coordination, nursing, or healthcare is preferred Experience with Phase 2–4 clinical studies is preferred Working knowledge of FDA regulations, ICH-GCP, IRB requirements, and clinical-trial documentation practices Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace Ability to manage multiple priorities in a patient-facing environment Active RN license is preferred but not required. Required clinical tasks must be performed only by appropriately trained and credentialed personnel within their authorized scope of practice.
