English Language Learner Teacher

LOCATION Dennis-Yarmouth Intermediate School COMPENSATION Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that meet student needs, learning and language objectives. Knowledge of all applicable Massachusetts State Standards and WIDA Standards. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with administrators, teachers, and other staff to strengthen all aspects of the instructional program. Ability to make a positive impact on student achievement by supporting teachers in their efforts to maximize the effectiveness of their instructional practice. Perform relevant professional tasks or duties as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or his designee as per DYEA collective bargaining agreement. QUALIFICATIONS MA DESE English as a Second Language required. Master's Degree, preferred. Current in using new instructional technologies, knowledge of their use in the classroom and willingness to learn additional instructional technologies. Ability to work cooperatively with students, teachers, parents and administration. At least 1 year relevant experience preferred. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
